Outdoor Classroom Day
Last week the children in Kindy joined the junior classes to take part in Outdoor Classroom Day. Outdoor Classroom Day is a day to celebrate outdoor learning and play, and to inspire schools everywhere to make outdoor learning and play part of every day. This means we took our learning ‘outside’, which allowed us to enjoy all our environment has to offer.
As part of Outdoor Classroom Day the children enjoyed bubble printing, nature creations, building sand castles, bathing the babies/dolls, building with blocks, riding bikes, kicking balls and so many more things. The most enjoyable part of our day was creating a sustainability garden in the shape of a caterpillar. We planted flowers, strawberries, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and celery.
